We are a grassroots, particpation-based community club. Whilst we believe the competitive nature of our sport is part of what makes it such a brilliant tool to help develop children and young people, our priority is their development. We take a long term view and create an environment where players can learn the values that Hackney RFC is built on: Inclusion, Respect and Community. Our approach to coaching is underpinned by 2 key ideas: A player centered focus and learning through games not drills. This will develop their decision making and tactical understanding, creativity and resilience

Joining Process
In line with clubs across the country, Hackney Rugby Football Club uses the England Rugby’s Game Management System (“GMS”) to manage club membership, and player registrations. GMS will allow you to manage the information the club holds about you, register yourself or your child as a player with Hackney Rugby Football Club, and pay for your membership. It enables you and your child to be registered for Insurance and Safeguarding purposes. Setting up accounts and registrations for both parent and child must be done by a parent.
Please follow the guides below to both 1. 'Create an account' and 2. 'Sport Easy' .
There is no need to do 'Membership Subscriptions' till you have completed your free sessions.
Creating an account
Login to GMS at this link RFU. It will ask you to select a club, which of course is Hackney RFC. Then follow the guide via this link How Do I Create An Account : RFU, to create an account for yourself, and your child. You also need to register your child as a player, following the instructions here, ensuring you select Hackney RFC as your child's club. New Age Grade Player Affiliation For A Parent/Guardian : RFU. .

Membership Subscriptions
Our membership subscription is £12 per months by direct debit or £144 in a one off payment. All subscriptions are paid on the England Rugby’s Game Management System (“GMS”). The link to our payment is here RFU. You will have to enter your username which is usually your email address and your password. Then select your child or children, and select the junior membership. Follow instructions prompted to complete payment, either paying 'pay in Installments' or 'pay in full'

Sport Easy (calendar & attendance)
The Club use Sport Easy so parents can see their child's calendar for the season, communicate with the coach and other parents. It helps the Club hugely reduce admin, and easily manage communication. Annual Re-Registration
Every year you need to re-register you child to Hackney RFC as a player. Login to GMS at this link RFU and then follow these instructions to register your child as a player, selecting Hackney RFC.
